There are risks in every step you take, unless you lived in a Utopia. Some jobs give high salaries, but these jobs vary. For, they depend on the type of experience you have and the educational background you have. Education should be your top priority for now. Once you have a degree you should start looking for jobs especially in the city. I personally live in NYC, and there are several jobs out there you can always get into.
