How do I check if my website was submitted to search engines?

I paid a submission service to submit my website to search engines. I want to check if it was really submitted to Yahoo, AOL, Google, and more. When I did a search it appears not to be listed in any of them.

You can search for the keywords contained within your website pages and use the actualy domain name of the site on whichever search engine you want to check

But search engines have software called ’spiders’ that search the web and pick out keywords from the code in the page and then add them to their catalogue of pages so you don’t need necessarily to submit your website for it to get onto the search engines
